SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The South Plainfield Board of Education last week presented certificates of recognition to over four-dozen students who achieved a 300 – a perfect score – on the 2014 New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge (NJASK) in English Language Arts, Math or Science.

The NJASK is a standardized test administered by the New Jersey Department of Education and given to all New Jersey public-schooled students in grades 3-8 in March, April or May.

“Scoring a 300 on the exam is quite an accomplishment,” said Grant School Principal Ellen Decker-Lorys prior to presenting. “I wish to extend my congratulations to the students and their parents and teachers, the administration and everyone who pitches in every day.”
