SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory beginning Wednesday February 7th from 4:00am to 11:00am for South Plainfield and all of Middlesex County. Wintery precipitation is expected to start after midnight beginning as snow, changing to sleet, freezing rain and all rain by late Wednesday morning.

Wednesday morning’s commute is expected to be hazardous as snow accumulations are expected to total approximately an inch with an icy crust on top. Precipitation is expected to change from snow to rain from the southeast to northwest.  A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Motorists are cautioned to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
