SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - On Saturday, Oct. 17th, The Mayor’s Wellness Committee, in conjunction with St. Peter’s Healthcare will sponsor South Plainfield’s fifth annual Family Health and Safety Fair. The event will take place at the South Plainfield Senior Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The fair will include free flu shots, blood pressure screenings, blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, dental health screenings. Also, vision screenings, and height, weight and BMI can be accessed for free. Physicians, Dentists and Nutritionists will be on hand to answer all questions. The South Plainfield Police Department will be providing free Child Identification Kits. Procare Physical Therapists will be on hand to answer any questions as well.
There will be free Zumba classes, Martial Arts and Yoga Demonstrations, entertainment and giveaways for the entire family. There will be a special appearance of Kaiser and Blitz, South Plainfield’s Police Dogs.
The Health Fair is the “Kick Off to Step it Up South Plainfield” and information will be available for “South Plainfield’s Biggest Loser Contest.”
