SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – East Brunswick’s Caitlyn Robertson and Madelyn Farrell each recorded hat tricks, and Bear goalie Liliana Macotela made 24 saves to lead East Brunswick to a 10-8 win over South Plainfield.

The game was a tale of two halves. East Brunswick jumped out to an 8-3 first half lead and went into the intermission looking to be in full control. South Plainfield’s offense, however, came to life in the second half, hitting the back of the net five times before succumbing in the end 10-8. The Tigers’ Ashley Veliz recorded a hat trick and fellow teammate Haley Olsen scored twice to lead the Tigers.

“The rally in the second half was amazing,” said South Plainfield Head Coach Tammy Zurka. “I’m very proud of how the girls played. We just need to work on our consistency.”
