Letter to the Editor
At this time, I would like to thank all the residents of South Plainfield and neighboring towns for their continued support of Sportworld over the last 42 (forty-two) years. Lately I have heard rumors that Sportworld is shuttering its doors. This is not true. We have put signs up about our current Reorganization Clearance Sale. The reason for this sale is that my business partner, Kevin Brown, is retiring, and my nephew, Ryan Hutchison, is coming on board as a co-owner, hence the reason for the big sale. Sportworld is refocusing on our in-house silk screening and embroidery and not so much on sporting goods. By moving some of our existing inventory, we will have room to expand our silk screening and embroidery facility. We will also have some store fixtures for sale.
This would be a great time to stop down, say hello, and get some great deals. This is not to say that we are not in the team sports business any longer, just a kind of refocusing. I hope all our existing customers will continue to shop with us and hopefully some new customers, both team and corporate, will discover Sportworld.
We have made some great friends and customers over the years and again, I’d like to thank you for everything you’ve done for us.
