Willow Park is now reopened for business! Huge thanks goes to the South Plainfield Library for their generous donation and to the recreation department for working together with the borough, and getting it done.
The newly expanded Willow Park now includes a large set of swings and a tire swing. As a former Library Board member, I know the Board has always valued the outreach capabilities of the library. The park has been a perfect recipe for moms and children visiting the library and attending the very popular story and baby time programs. With so many expanded program offerings, the library is busier than ever. As a mom I know the library is a wonderful place not only for your children to borrow books, but to learn how to socialize and build friendships!
The newly expanded Willow Park now allows for more children to enjoy the additional swings and play space so friendships and playtime can easily be transferred outdoors.
Lastly, I would be remiss if I did not give sincere thanks to our fine men and women from the Department of Public Works. They worked at top speed in the hot summer sun to complete the project in time for enjoyment on National Night Out!
Willow Park has been a huge success and is regularly bustling with activity. I hope that if you haven’t seen it yet, you will stop by during your next trip to the library and enjoy the fun.
