SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Writing for the town paper looks great on college transcripts and right now, TAP into South Plainfield is interviewing for Fall high school student interns.
We are looking for bright, inquisitive, energetic and creative interns to join our unpaid internship program.
Schedules and weekly hours are flexible.
Student Interns will write on school sporting events and school events. They will also take photos. Parents watching games are also invited to apply to write for TAP into South Plainfield as interns. And, those who just like taking photos are invited to apply as well.
TAP into South Plainfield will meet with all high school interns once a month where they will receive a monthly lesson in journalism from TAP’s corporate sports journalist and be assigned articles. In addition, each article submission will be edited and notes for improvement will be provided for each article. Darlene Tedesco- Cullen will be in constant contact with all interns all of the time.
This is a learning opportunity for interns. They will learn to be become better writers, gain confidence in interviewing people and discover the world of newspaper journalism.
