Last week the South Plainfield 12U Bombers played a weeklong tournament in Cooperstown, New York. The tournament was an experience of a lifetime for all of those involved. The Bombers represented themselves and South Plainfield with good sportsmanship and class.
The Bombers played teams from all over the Country. After Pool Play the Bombers placed 31st out of over 100 teams. In the end we may not have won the title, but the players, parents and coaches were all champions.
The Bomber family ended festivities going to the Baseball Hall of Fame and ended with the closing ceremonies. The players were inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame as well as receiving a participating ring from the Cooperstown Dream Park Tournament.
The Bombers would like to thank the South Plainfield Community for all of their support and well wishes. A special thanks to Glenn Cullen for putting our story on the Alternative Press of South Plainfield and for keeping everyone informed. Lastly, I’d like to thank the players, their families, coaches and Cooperstown Dreams Park Village for making dreams become memories.
