The South Plainfield Girls’ Bowling Team finished another fantastic season. The Lady Tigers have become one of the top bowling programs in the Greater Middlesex Conference. The team finished with a record of 14-2-2. The South Plainfield Girls’ Bowlers finished as the GMC Blue Division Champions and were Semifinalists of the GMC Conference Tournament. At the end of the season, the Greater Middlesex Conference finalized their recognition for the winter athletes. Chelsea Alers was selected as All-Blue Division for Girls’ Bowling.
Senior Chelsea Alers has been a steady bowler for the Lady Tigers this past season. During the season Chelsea bowled an average of about 144 per game. She had a high game of 212 against rival Carteret. Chelsea also bowled her high series of 536 the same day. Chelsea Alers consistent bowling helped the Lady Tigers win the division once again. Chelsea had an outstanding career for the Lady Tigers and will be missed by the South Plainfield Girls’ Bowling Program.
