South Plainfield High School Girls’ Tennis Team continues to have a successful season. Sophomore, Jordan Lovett has helped lead the Lady Tigers this year. The team currently holds a 6-5 record.
Jordan, who has played first singles since her freshman year, went 2-1 on the week. She was able to avenge a loss from earlier this season. She defeat North Brunswick’s first single player in an exciting tie breaker set 7-5, 3-6, 10-7. Jordan also went on to defeat another GMC rival JFK in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. With Jordan’s steady improvement and work ethic she will continue to be a staple in Lady Tigers Tennis in years to come.
Each week the South Plainfield High School Athlete Department will feature an athlete of the week.
