The Girls Cross Country team is quietly having one of the best seasons of all the fall sports teams, led by senior captain Julianne Ferraro.    The Lady Tigers are currently 12-1 on the season.  This past week the girls dominated Bound Brook 15-50 while getting ready to compete in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament.

This year Julianne has taken first place finishes in many of the dual meets she ran.  Julianne has established herself as the best female cross-country runner to come out of South Plainfield.  She ran a season best of 19:57 and finished sixth place overall on Saturday October 26th during the Greater Middlesex Conference varsity race.  This helped her earn her fourth Greater Middlesex Conference All County honor.  Julianne also holds the school record for girls’ cross country with a time of 18:27. Julianne looks to close out her stellar high school cross country career with an outstanding performance at the state sectional meet on November 9th.
