ELIZABETH, NJ - The Elmora Troopers are The Mid-Atlantic Champions and will be heading to Williamsport for the Little League World Series!

The Troopers took the win after beating the team from Haverstraw, N.Y. by a score of 19-4 on Saturday in the Mid-Atlantic Regional finals. They now continue on in their quest to become the Little League World Series champions!

The first game is next Friday night at 8 pm against the Oregon team representing the Northwest region.

The team, Elmora “TROOPERS,” is named after New Jersey State Trooper Thomas J. Hanratty, who was killed in the line of duty April 2, 1992, in a motor vehicle accident. Trooper Hanratty was born in Elizabeth and played in the league growing up.
