SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Grand Marshal Nominations will be accepted from July 1st, through July 31st, 2019.  For this year’s criteria for Grand Marshal, the Public Celebrations Committee, in honor of the parade’s theme, is looking for representatives from different branches of the retired military.  Nominees must have served as well as volunteered in service organizations and/or volunteered in various aspects to help those in South Plainfield.  The Public Celebrations Committee will open up nominations for one Grand Marshal from each branch of the military: Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Marines

Please send all nominations in the form of a letter explaining the efforts of the nominee you are nominating and what they have done to give back to the South Plainfield Community and in what area they have volunteered.  You must give specific details as to what their volunteerism has been and the approximate dates.  Any nominee that is submitted must not have served as Grand Marshal in previous Labor Day parades.  The nominator must print and sign the letter with their name and contact phone number along with the contact phone number of the person(s) who you are nominating. 

The Public Celebrations Committee will open up nominations for one Grand Marshal from each branch of the military: Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Marines.  Grand Marshal nominations letters are addressed to:  The South Plainfield Public Celebrations Committee, 2480 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, New Jersey  07080,  Attention:  Amy Antonides, Borough Clerk.

The 2019 Public Celebrations Committee members are Amy Bengivenga-Johnson, Chairperson, Debra Anne Leporino, Secretary, Gina D’Urso, Gina McConville, Jen Ratti, Jessica Spina, Kelly Daley, Kimberly Anesh, Scott Miller, Stephanie Bartfalvi and Stephanie Wolak.  Borough Council Liaison is Councilwoman Christine Faustini.
