Tigers Bowl over Competition, as South Plainfield Boys Win Tom Irwin Memorial Crusader Classic Crown

HACKENSACK, NJ - On December 2nd the South Plainfield Girls and Boys bowling teams traveled to Bowler City in Hackensack to participate in the 7th Annual Tom Irwin Memorial Crusader Classic. The Tigers made the most of their long trip as the Boys grabbed 1st place overall with a 3,126 three game series and the Lady Tigers placed 7th. The Tiger’s victory was particularly impressive considering 30 teams participated in the Bergen Catholic High School sponsored event.

South Plainfield’s Shawn Boffard knocked over the pins and competition rolling his way to the 1st place individual title with 267, 215, 226 and series 708, while Tiger teammate Angelo Salici placed third overall with a 243, 240, 213 and 696 series.  

South Plainfield’s Lanasia Neal placed third overall amongst girls rolling a series 557.
