SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Boys basketball team scored 19 fourth quarter points to come from behind and beat Bishop Ahr 52-49. South Plainfield senior’s Dylan O’ Connor, Deshai Smith and Will McLaughlin led the Tigers offense on what was “Senior Night” for the Tigers.

O’Connor led all South Plainfield scorers with 11 points, while Smith, Jalil Palms and Dondre Tate each tossed in nine points for South Plainfield and McLaughlin added another eight points.

Bishop Ahr’s Deontae Crawford led all scorers with 19 points.

The Tigers’ victory ends a two game losing streak and avenges an early season loss to Bishop Ahr. South Plainfield dropped a tight game 54-52 game to Bishop Ahr back in early January.  

The victory improves South Plainfield’s record to 6-11 on the season while Bishop Ahr falls to 11-8.
