Alex Gonzalez, daughter Alexandra Gonzalez-Batshaw and wife Ivette Martinez serve the traditional Puerto Rican food they prepared for Tuesday Tales at the South Plainfield Public Library. Each week children in grades 2 and up are invited to come hear folk tales from a different region of the world. Natives from that area are invited in to speak a little about their homeland and teach kids a few phrases in their language. Participants then make a craft related to that country and sample some traditional cuisine from the culture!
