SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Twin City Pharmacy & Surgical, located on Park Avenue in South Plainfield, offers customers a prescription transfer process that is easy and hassle-free.

“Moving prescriptions that are currently with a different pharmacy over to Twin City is simple and quick. One phone call or visit to the pharmacy to request we fill your prescriptions, along with your insurance and doctor information, is all it takes to become our customer and for us to begin filling your prescriptions,” said Sandy Cassio, who, along with her cousin, Tommy Cassio, and brother-in-law Bill Ashnault, has run the family-owned business since 2007.

“If your current pharmacy is closing its doors or making you wait too long, let us help make your life a little easier,” Sandy said, noting that having all prescriptions in one place is essential.

“It protects one from confusing medications and allows us to be sure you are not taking anything that may conflict with your current therapies,” she said. “It also insures you are compliant with your dosages when we have all your records at our fingertips.”

Twin City has been family-owned and operated for nearly 45 years and, according to Sandy, plans to remain a staple in the community for decades to come.

“People never tire of being treated well. We live locally, work locally and love being a part of the community. Our customers are friends and they count on us for not only medical needs but also for information and direction,” said Sandy. “We also are in the process of expanding our ‘little shop on the corner’ to showcase our expanding line of home healthcare. We are hoping to complete our transformation this fall.”

Twin City prides itself on being ‘today’s modern pharmacy with old fashioned values.’ In addition to being a full-service pharmacy for prescriptions, vaccinations, and other everyday items such as vitamins and health care items, Twin City stocks equipment, products and supplies for surgical and wound care, ostomy/incontinence care, respiratory care, diabetic management, and orthopedic care as well as enteral feeding equipment and supplies, including pumps and supplements.

Twin City also stocks supplies for bathroom, bedroom, compression, mobility, and orthopedic needs as well as items to make dealing with an injury easier, including crutches, slings, walking boots, and wound care items for all ages, are also available. Additionally, Twin City also offers breast pumps, which, under federal laws, are covered by many health insurance plans at little or no out-of-pocket cost.

“A hospital visit for a procedure can be 12 to 48 hours with a home recovery period of weeks to months. We make those weeks at home safe and comfortable by offering everything you may need to assist with recovery,” said Sandy. “Here, our customers have access to anything in the clinical health care arena needed – whether they are ailing or recovering – to make them comfortable at home. We always have the best and newest equipment available and can always special order something, whether it be medication or equipment. If it is not here, we can usually get it within 24 to 48 hours.”

Twin City Pharmacy & Surgical, is located at 1708 Park Avenue and offers free local delivery to all customers, boasts competitive pricing and also installs portable ramps. Twin City accepts worker’s compensation, Medicare (on select items) and many insurance plans, including Qualcare, Aetna, Cigna, Amerigroup, Horizon NJ Health, Aetna Better Health, Wellcare and Medicaid.

Open seven-days-a-week, hours of operation are as follows: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Twin City strives to stay connected to our customers by offering services that promote healthfulness, safety and ease of use.  Thank you for allowing us to service your pharmacy needs over these past decades,” said Sandy. “It is our honor and pleasure to have been a part of so many lives and we look forward to continuing to take care of your pharmacy and medical needs for years to come. Please call or visit our store.”
