BOUND BROOK, NJ -The Bound Brook train station will be closed Monday following a raging fire Sunday night.   Riders can utilize the Bridgewater station or the Dunellen station. Church Street, John Street, Mountain Avenue & Hamilton Street and Main Street are all CLOSED, Bound Brook Police said. PLEASE avoid the entire area, they urged. 

The fire that raged in downtown Bound Brook started on Sunday evening and the glow of the blaze was seen for miles across Somerset County.

Raritan Valley Line rail service is suspended between Bridgewater and Dunellen in both directions due to fire department activity near Bound Brook near the tracks. Substitute bus service is being provided. Visit njtransit.com for updates.

The Bound Brook Police Department posted on social media about a multi-alarm structure fire on Main Street.  According to the post: "This is a disastrous fire that is very difficult to contain and has the potential to spread to all nearby structures. If emergency personnel order you out of your residence PLEASE LISTEN!"

New Jersey State PBA tweeted, "Keep all the officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel in Bound Brook tonight in your thoughts and prayers."
