To the Editor:

I feel compelled to write a letter in support of Sandy Doyon for Borough Council. I first met Sandy as my son’s first grade teacher. She is a dynamic educator with unmatched passion and dedication to her students. Sandy helped my son by teaching to his strengths, for example, by allowing him to indulge in his love of geography and getting him a map of South Plainfield to use at school. She makes sure to be present at every event at Kennedy School and goes above and beyond to give all students at the school the best experience possible. Sandy also produces the school’s Variety Show which raises scholarship money and entertains the families and students in the JFK community.

I am certain that I am not the only parent of a former student that would speak highly of Sandy as a teacher. However, I have been lucky enough to get to know Sandy as a close friend. I have never met a more caring human being. She was there for my family when we were dealing with a serious health situation, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

Jon Dean is one of the most stand up and loyal people that I have ever come across. Any time I have called on him, he replies in minutes and is willing to help. He runs a successful business while raising three children with his wife Kathryn. The quality of his work and attention to detail is rare. Jon is a former SP Volunteer Firefighter, active with the South Plainfield Lions Club and volunteers for events at the schools in the district. Whenever someone calls Jon with a problem, he responds immediately.

Jon and Sandy are born and raised in South Plainfield. They have given of their time to make things better for many people in this community. There are no two candidates more deserving of your vote for Borough Council.
