SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for plunging temperatures, drifting snow and strong wind gusts. Very hazardous travel conditions are expected throughout the night.
Temperatures have already fallen below freezing, and standing water and slush on roadways, sidewalks and parking lots are expected to re-freeze overnight as temperatures drop to near single digits.
The South Plainfield Public School System issued a robot-call this evening announcing all South Plainfield Schools will be operating on a 90 minute delay on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd. This is the second consecutive day the district will be operating on a 90 minute delay due to inclement weather.
