Pete Smith is one of the best new candidates I’ve seen run for public office in a long time. He’ll definitely have my vote.
It’s obvious Pete takes public service seriously. Pete served 9 years in the Army National Guard and as an ELK works tirelessly to continue to help his brothers and sisters who served our country. As a father, he gave back by coaching soccer and basketball. He also runs marathons each year to help raise money for children. If there is one thing that defines Pete, it’s being a public servant.
I’m also impressed with Pete’s work on the planning board. That board is the conduit through which businesses come to South Plainfield and through which they expand. That experience will serve Pete Smith well on the council, because growing our town’s economy is key to its success.
