The South Plainfield Girls’ Basketball team continues to battle throughout the season.  Again this past week the Lady Tigers won two of the three games they played. On Tuesday, South Plainfield defeated New Brunswick by a score of 54-19.  Then in another White Division game Thursday evening, the Lady Tigers defeated the Barrons of Woodbridge 51-19.  South Plainfield is looking to stay consistent as the county and state tournaments begin soon.  The steady improvement of freshman Anna Gnapp has helped the Lady Tigers compete.

This season Anna has averaged 7.4 points and 2.4 assists per game.  Anna has been a pleasant surprise for South Plainfield.  In the win against New Brunswick she scored 7 points and had 2 assists.  Then against Woodbridge she had 9 points and 3 assists. The Lady Tigers will look to Anna to help lead the team on the court in the weeks and years to come.
