Although the winter season is over, the Girls’ Winter Track Team accomplished much success. They started the season winning the Merli Invitational and then went on to be the Blue Division Relay Champions. The Girls’ Winter Track Program also won the Blue Division Championship for the first time in over 20 years. Contributing to this success during the year was junior, Tiffany Parajon.
Tiffany Parajon had an outstanding season for the Winter Track Program. Tiffany has proven quite successful due to her determination to improve. This past winter track season, Tiffany was named All-Blue Division for placing 2nd at the Greater Middlesex Conference Meet in the High Jump. Tiffany then went on to place 3rd in the very competitive Central Jersey, Group Two State Sectionals. Tiffany’s highest jump tied her personal best of 4 feet, 10 inches from last spring. Tiffany, however, is not content and she looks to improve upon her accomplishments as the spring season takes off in early April.
Each week the South Plainfield High School Athlete Department will feature an athlete of the week.
