Heidi Klum would certainly approve of the Suburban Woman’s Club Annual Fashion Show and Fund Raiser held on Sunday, April 22nd. One hundred fifty ladies enjoyed a lovely lunch and watched models of all shapes, sizes and ages walk the runway at the South Plainfield Senior Center.
VP Jane Rundella, Co-Chair of this event, was the show’s narrator and provided the audience with details on styles and designers. The lovely outfits, straight from Lord & Taylor of Westfield, represented spring-ready clothes that ran the gamut from the very casual shorts outfit to the power business suit to the enchanting evening gown – namely something for every taste.
Grace Bertucci, who co-chairs with Rundella, once again worked very hard to collect donations from generous local patrons. Fundraising Committee members Kathy Wozniak and Adele Kwiatkowski received donations of fifty-nine raffle baskets and gift cards ready for lucky winners to take home. Door prizes and a 50/50 rounded out the games of chance to make the event a truly enjoyable day for all.
The list is long of Club members and their families who gladly gave their time and treasure knowing that the proceeds from this event support Prevent Child Abuse-NJ, an organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in all forms for all children in New Jersey; the Suburban Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund; and local charities.
