The Athlete of the Week: Josiah Harvey Football Running Back/Linebacker

The South Plainfield Football team won its final game Friday night in its annual North vs South game.  The Tigers were impressive in their 54-41 win over rival North Plainfield.  South Plainfield was led by senior Josiah Harvey. 

Josiah had an outstanding game against North Plainfield.  He carried the ball twenty-one times for 238 yards while scoring three touch downs.

The Athlete of the Week: Julianne Ferraro Girls’ Cross Country

The Girls Cross Country team is quietly having one of the best seasons of all the fall sports teams, led by senior captain Julianne Ferraro.    The Lady Tigers are currently 12-1 on the season.  This past week the girls dominated Bound Brook 15-50 while getting ready to compete in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament.

SP K of C 12 Annual Trivia Night

The South Plainfield Knights of Columbus, Council #6203 held their 12 th Annual “Trivia Night” Fundraiser at the South Plainfield Senior Center on November 2nd.

 

Thirteen teams and over 90 people attended this great fundraiser and over $3,000 was raised and all proceeds will be donated to the Middlesex County Make A Wish Foundation.
