Friends of the Library Book and Bake Sale

You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy fantastic books at great prices at the Friends of the Library Book Sale, and that’s kind of the same thing. The Friends of the South Plainfield Library are their yearly book sale Saturday September 22 at 9am and going through Sunday September 30. This year’s donations include an exciting assortment of literary bargains.  There will be something for everyone, from book club enthusiasts to book groupies to children of all ages.  The Friends will also be selling AV materials (DVDs, CDs, Books on CD). There will be a bake sale on the first day so you can buy a sweet treat to go along with your great finds! All proceeds will go to the Friends who help the library with programming and also sponsor our very popular museum pass program.

Athlete of the Week: Lauren Zultowski Girls’ Field Hockey Center Forward

The South Plainfield Field Hockey Team had a huge week going into the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament.  The Lady Tigers rolled off four straight wins including a first round conference tournament win.  This helped raise their season record to 12-5.  Much of this success is due to the play of senior center forward Lauren Zultowski.
