"Pop-Up Museum" Program

“Pop-Up Museum”, a program provided by the South Plainfield Historical Society, will be held at South Plainfield Public Library on Saturday, November 2nd, from 10AM-3PM.

At 1PM, the lecture “South Plainfield: Then and Now” will be presented.  The speaker will be Dr. Richard Veit.  An author and South Plainfield resident, Dr. Veit is Associate Dean of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences and Professor of Anthropology at Monmouth University. 

The program will also include displays of historical materials collected by the Society, including photographs, South Plainfield High School Yearbooks, reference materials, oral histories, and vintage clothing and artifacts.  There will also be a children’s activity table featuring colonial paper crafting and a Native American grinding stone, local history trivia questions, and scanning of historical photos.  Refreshments will be served.  The program is being presented free of charge, and no pre-registration is required.
