Anna Matuszkiewicz, 104, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Grand Strand Medical Center Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, Anna grew up in Pennsylvania and was a longtime resident of Middlesex settling to the borough in the 1940s. She recently relocated to Myrtle Beach two years ago.

An avid bingo player, Anna was also a New York Yankee fan and enjoyed going to flee markets on the weekends. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin as well as the senior center. The last of her era, Anna will be remembered as a strong and independent woman who loved her family dearly.

She is predeceased by her husband, a former Mayor of Middlesex, Martin Matuszkiewicz and four sisters.

Surviving are her children, Dennis Matuskiewicz and wife Suzanne of Myrtle Beach, SC, Richard Matuskiewicz wife Judith also of Myrtle Beach, SC. and Marty Ann Gutierrez of Shillington, PA; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 4-7PM in the Middlesex Funeral Home 528 Bound Brook Rd. Middlesex, NJ 08846.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 9AM in Middlesex Funeral Home, followed by a funeral mass beginning at 10AM in Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Middlesex.

Following mass Anna will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, NJ .
