SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Department of Recreation, in conjunction with the South Plainfield Board of Education will host a free, outdoor movie night for borough residents next month.
"I am very grateful to our school district for their willingness to partner on this event and with us in so many other ways," said Council President Christine Faustini, chair of the borough's recreation committee and a member of its shared services committee. "Not only does this allow for more efficient use of resources, but it helps to better support and engage our South Plainfield families."
Admission to the movie night is free, however, reservations are required and must be made through Community Pass (https://bit.ly/3f3WUFN). Each registration is good for a family/group of up to 6 people with admission limited to the first 50 registrants. Reservation confirmations must be printed and brought to the field.
In an effort to make the event a fun and safe one for all residents, all members of the same party must be present at time of admission with field seating set up in accordance with social distancing guidelines. The bleachers will not be used and no concessions will be sold. Attendees may bring their own blanket or beach chair (no regular lawn chairs, please) and snacks.
"This is a great opportunity for South Plainfield families to enjoy some safe, social distance fun outside," added Faustini.
