SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Thomas Berry of South Plainfield has published a new historical fiction novel titled Gifts of the Gods: Silver and Gold.  It is the second in a trilogy documenting the Peloponnesian War in Ancient Greece.  Berry has spent ten years researching and writing the series.   This story follows five diverse men and women from different parts of Greece and gives a well-rounded perspective of the middle years of the bitter conflict between Athens and Sparta including the infamous expedition to Sicily.   Each book in the series showcases a different set of characters and shifts the action between new, exciting locations.  “People respond well to these type of books,” Berry said.  “We follow along on their personal journey but also get a great overview of the events of that era.  The series bring many historical characters to life and show them in ways the reader might not expect.  You’ll live and learn along with the people of the time!”  Berry has published other historical novels focusing on Lewis and Clark, the Alamo, and World War II.   All his books are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and through your local bookstore.  To read more about Berry’s books, visit him at
