The Athlete of the Week: Deleaney Born Softball Centerfield

Last week South Plainfield’s Softball team finished an exciting season.  The team finished with an 18-6 record making it all the way to the NJSIAA Sectional Semifinals. Senior Deleaney Born has been a staple for the Lady Tigers since her freshman year. 

On the season, Deleaney leads the team with a .549 batting average.  This year she had 45 hits while scoring 42 ...
