SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Creative Kids Academy (CKA) of South Plainfield will begin accepting registration for the 2019-2020 school year on Monday, Jan. 28. Located on Clinton Avenue, CKA offers both full- and half-day pre-K programs as well as 3- and 4-year-old and 2- and 3-year-old classes.

“At Creative Kids, the focus is on nurturing students and providing them with the skills they will need for years to come,” said owner and director Dan Rinaldi. “Our goal is to aid in the academic and social development of children while also serving as their second home.”

CKA boasts an intimate atmosphere with small class sizes and low student-teacher ratios, providing all children with patient, dedicated, and individualized attention. During the September through June academic year, CKA has approximately 17-20 staff members who are mostly teachers and teacher's aides and offers full- and half-day pre-kindergarten programs five, three or two days a week as well as early and extended care options.

CKA, said Rinaldi, is constantly strengthening and updating its curricula to meet the needs of all learners and to keep up with all the changes in education. The school’s curriculum is designed to prepare all students for letter and number recognition, discovery in science, math and many other areas of early education.

“We pride ourselves in staying up-to-date with what’s going on in the K-5 schools in our area so that our students are better prepared,” said Rinaldi, who, prior to purchasing the school in 2014,taught in Edison.  “We are engaging students in STEM activities in which they can use their minds to build, explore and solve problems. These STEM Activities promote our children with ample time to play around with loose parts, create cool patterns and discover and these experiences also foster their fine motor skills.”

At CKA, mini libraries are set up throughout the buildings and, throughout the school year, there is a ‘Letter of the Week’ and other activities, such as reading or cooking, and ‘Word Walls’ to integrate and reinforce that week’s letter. Additionally, all educational services are balanced out with fun activities such as themed weeks, special ‘crazy hair’ or ‘crazy sock’ days, parties, a winter concert and trips as well as visits from the Fun Bus, the Travelin' Tumblers and Swift Farm Petting Zoos.

“We are dedicated to constructing the foundation for education and socialization while providing an environment where kids can still be kids,” Rinaldi said.

Creative Kids Academy is located at 1615 Clinton Avenue in South Plainfield. To register for the 2019-2020 school year or to schedule a tour of the school, call 908-753-4477 or email Dan Rinaldi at
