SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – A staple in the community for 47 years, Twin City Pharmacy & Surgical is looking forward to expanding and updating in 2020.
“Twin City Pharmacy is growing,” said co-owner Sandy Cassio. “We are very excited about our plans and anticipate a much better space for us and our customer.”
The business plans to add square footage by taking over the old Park Avenue Cleaners space, allowing for maximum exposure of product lines and less cluttered work areas along with a state-of-the-art compounding room. According to Cassio, the new space will improve visual appearances and add much-needed breathing room to its work and sales floor areas.
“We have been expanding our pharmacy lines to include specialty supplies and equipment over the past 15 years without expanding our footprint,” she said. “Currently, many of our products are hidden in storage areas.”
As a leading hospice and home care provider in the state, Twin City employees almost 60 employees and runs a daily fleet of 14 vans covering half of the New Jersey area to service clients.
Most recently, the family-run and operated Park Avenue business also upgraded to a new computer system. “Our old system was put in place over 20 years ago, so we were all very comfortable and experienced using it [and] as with all changes in life, we will unfortunately experience growing pains along with bumps in the road along the way,” said Cassio, adding that as with all new things, there will be learning curve.
“We apologize in advance for any delays or insurance billing issues that may arise,” she said. “We hope our customers will be patient with us as we transition through this and ask that they please share with us any concerns they might experience along the way so that we can correct and resolve them.”
