WOODBRIDGE, NJ – South Plainfield resident Sujan Puar once again came home with a lot of metal. Some was gold, some silver and some bronze. Puar does it all, and at this year’s New Jersey Senior Olympic games on September 7th and 8th he won gold swimming the backstroke, gold in the long jump and silver in the 50, 100 and 400 meter dashes.

“Sujan is just amazing,” said Mayor Anesh. “He runs, jumps and swims faster than people not only his age, but of any age.”

Puar competed in his ninth New Jersey Senior Olympics and competed in the 75-79 year-old age group. In addition to his gold and silver place finishes, he also placed third in the 200 meter dash.

On September 15th Puar took his show on the road running in the New Port Liberty half marathon. Puar placed 1st in his age group with a time of 2:15:07.
