SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - South Plainfield’s Green Team hosted a contest for all 5-6 grade students living or attending a school in South Plainfield requesting an essay on what sustainability means for South Plainfield and how can South Plainfield become a more sustainable community in 500-750 words and judged on content, grammar and spelling.

The contest for grade 7 through 12 consisted of a video not to exceed 3 minutes on how can South Plainfield can become a more sustainable community.  Entries were judged on content and creativity.  

The contest winners were presented at the borough council meeting on Monday, January 7,2019 gift certificates by South Plainfield Green Team Chairman Robert Longo, Green Team Member Debbie Boyle and Mayor Matthew Anesh and Councilman-liaison to the green team Jon Dean.  Tom Walsh and Dr. Alice Tempel were not in attendance:
