SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Department of Recreation, in association with the US Sports Institute (USSI), will be offering a new Multi-Sport Program this spring.  The eight-week program, taking place on Saturdays from April through June, is designed to provide children of all ability levels between the age of 2 and 7 years old the opportunity to try a variety of sports.

“We have been looking to bring new programs to the borough and expand our offerings,” said Elizabeth Yarus, the borough’s director of the recreation, telling TAPinto South Plainfield that the program ‘is a little different’ than what has been offered in the past.

“We are expanding our offerings so now we have something for younger children as well. This program is specifically designed for children ages 2 to 7 and will be run by trained, professional instructors from the US Sports Institute as opposed to parent volunteer coaches,” she said.
