South Plainfield–The Borough has been closely monitoring the Coronavirus outbreak. Although there have been NO REPORTED or PRESUMPTIVE cases in South Plainfield we have been evaluating information from both our Federal, State and County Health partners. After discussions with the Borough’s Office of Emergency Management Coordinator/Police Chief James Parker we have decided to close the South Plainfield Senior Center effective 3/12/2020.

The closure of the Senior Center is a preventative measure in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect those residents that are most at risk here in South Plainfield.

The South Plainfield Senior Center will continue to provide transportation services and meals on wheels deliveries. Transportation, however, shall be done on a one on one delivery basis. Anyone that has questions or needs assistance should contact our Senior Center Director Tree Olano at 908-754-1047.

The Senior Center closure is indefinite at this point, and we will continue to provide updates regarding the Coronavirus as more information is made available.
