South Plainfield Under Flash Flood Warning Saturday Morning

SOUTH PLAINFIELD , NJ — The area is under a flash flood warning until 11:15 a.m., the National Weather Service announced at 7:21 a.m. Saturday morning.

The warning was issued while strong thunderstorms rolled through the area this morning. Flashes of lightning and cracks of thunder woke sleeping residents around 7:00am.

Thunderstorms are expected to linger in the area until mid-day.
