Save the Date for South Plainfield Spring Volunteer Litter Clean-up April 15

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The South Plainfield Clean Communities Advisory Board has announced that a Borough-wide litter cleanup will be held on Saturday morning, April 15.  Volunteers can collect equipment and clean-up assignments at the municipal building at 2480 Plainfield Avenue from 9 to 10 a.m.  

Roadsides, parks, streams and vacant lots will be cleared of litter and trash during the morning.  Volunteers will be invited back to the municipal building at 12:00 for a Pizza Pickup Picnic, complete with environmentally-friendly door prizes.  "You can organize a crew, or come on your own, " said Clean Communities Coordinator, Alice Tempel.   Alice Tempel can be reached at (908) 226-7621 for more information or email her at atempel@southplainfieldnj.com.
