Adele DeLeeuw Scholarships Awarded to Area Students

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - Four former South Plainfield high school students received a total of $9,325 in scholarships from the Adele DeLeeuw Scholarship Fund at a dinner held Tuesday, June 12th, at the Spain Inn in Piscataway.  The scholarships are financed by a bequest from Adele DeLeeuw, longtime Plainfield resident, author of 75 books, journalist and arts activist.

Aria Rathor Recognized for Winning Tiger Logo Design

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Grant student Aria Rathor was recently honored for being named the winner in the South Plainfield School District’s recently Tiger Logo Contest.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - On Tuesday, June 12, the South Plainfield Elks honored the winners of the Grant School Character Education Monthly Pillars.  The students and their families were treated to a pasta dinner cooked and served by the Elks Youth Activities Committee and the students were given Junior Citizen of the Month Certificates.

39 Minute Walk at Riley School

The Riley School “kids” hosted the annual walk to fight cancer lead by Mrs Christine Dispenziere teacher an partner in the Pink Socs Foundation.   The students an staff raised over $4,000 to fight cancer.
