South Plainfield, N.J. — Raids on two massage parlors carried out by South Plainfield Police detectives and assisted by the Middlesex County Prosecutors Office resulted in one arrest and two others charged in prostitution-related offenses.

On October 22nd, 2019, at approximately 5:00 PM authorities executed search warrants on two massage parlors in South Plainfield- Massage Therapy, located a 2601 Hamilton Boulevard, and Square Spa LLC, located at 902 Oak Tree Avenue. Both establishments had been under investigation for several weeks.

The joint operation resulted in investigators seizing $9,970 in cash --suspected proceeds of prostitution — along with property and evidence recovered at the scene.

Jin Shunlan, 53, of 410 Mayer Court, Ridgefield N.J., manager of Massage Therapy, was arrested and charged with promoting prostitution.

Zhenshun Xu, owner of Massage Therapy, was issued a summons for maintaining a nuisance.

Shanshu Lin, owner of Square Spa LLC, was issued a summons for maintaining a nuisance.

There is no suspected link between the two businesses at this time.
