SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - In the borough, residents are being advised to lock their car doors due to a rise in reported vehicular break-ins. 

"We have received reports of car break-ins in the areas bordering Plainfield and Piscataway,” said Captain Noonan. Please lock your cars, take all valuables out of your vehicles and report any suspicious parties."

“Almost all vehicles burglaries happen to cars with unlocked doors,” the South Plainfield Police Department said through social media. “A simple way to avoid any issues is to just hit the lock button”
