SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield Police Department will be accepting applications for the 2019 South Plainfield Junior Police Academy. The South Plainfield Junior Police Academy is one of the grassroots programs the South Plainfield Police Juvenile Division is developing to foster a positive relationship between the police department and the youth of our expanding diverse community. This program may generate positive interest in law enforcement as a future career field, so our officers can reflect the community we serve.  Our youth is our greatest asset.

The academy is a week-long “day camp” (Monday through Friday) offered to qualified young men and women residing in South Plainfield, who will enter 5th-6th grade in September 2019.  The class will consist of 20 cadets split into two platoons.

This free program will begin on August 5th through August 9th, starting each morning at 0800 (8am) and ending at 1300 (1PM).
