SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Impact Church in South Plainfield, in an effort to contain the potential spread of the coronavirus, will be moving to an online platform for services, effective immediately.
“We agree with the governor’s goal to do our part to limit exposure to the virus,” said De’Andre Salter, senior pastor of Impact Church. "We have made the decision to broadcast our services online beginning this week. We’re encouraging all of our members and all those interested to tune in via our website."
Impact Church, said Salter, will continue its mission to ‘be a resource to the community’ and plans to help seniors and other at-risk residents during this challenging time.
“We are concerned about those, who, if this continues, may not have access to resources. We are working on being able get resources to those who fall into that group,” said Salter, noting that the church also plans to put care packages together to ‘lift the spirits’ for those medical workers and others on the front line.
“We believe the most important things that people need right now is leadership, clear communication, and hope,” he added. “This is a time to build upon one’s faith, when they need it most. The most important thing is for people not to panic.”
