South Plainfield Central Jersey Tremor 10u Softball Team wins Championship at Woodbridge Summer Sizzle Tournament

South Plainfield  Central Jersey Tremor 10U defeated Aberdeen/Matawan Huskies 10U 8-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Ella Spina induced a groundout from #7 to finish off the game.

South Plainfield Tremor 10U secured the victory thanks to five runs in the fourth inning.  South Plainfield Tremor 10U's offense in the inning came from a single by Emily Maren, an error on a ball put in play by Meagan Gaffney and a double by Kelsey Edmondson.

South Plainfield Tremor 10U got on the board in the first inning when Evalyn Szalanczi doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

South Plainfield Tremor 10U put up five runs in the fourth inning.  The big inning was thanks to a single by Emily Maren , an error on a ball put in play by Meagan Gaffney and a double by Kelsey Edmondson.

A single by #20 in the second inning was a positive for Aberdeen/Matawan Huskies 10U.

Kelsey earned the victory in the circle for South Plainfield Tremor 10U. She allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four.  Ella threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

#20 led things off on the rubber for Aberdeen/Matawan Huskies 10U. She surrendered three runs on two hits over three innings, striking out two and walking one.  #18 and #7 entered the game as relief, throwing one-third of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

Emily, Kelsey, Cassie Penny, and Evalyn all had one hit to lead South Plainfield Tremor 10U.
