SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - After suffering their first loss of the season on Wednesday, South Plainfield (7-1, 5-1 GMC-White) defeated Carteret (2-5, 1-5 GMC White) 6-1 on Friday afternoon.

Senior pitcher Jillian Holoboski picked up her sixth win of the year with a complete game, allowing one run on five hits and a walk and tallied a career high 13 strikeouts. Senior catcher Julie Davis went two for four at the plate with three runs batted in. Freshman shortstop Tori Ferguson went one for three with a walk and two runs scored.

The Lady Tigers travel to North Brunswick to face the Lady Bulldogs of Metuchen on Saturday at 11 a.m. for the Autism Awareness Challenge.
