COLONIA, NJ - Senior pitcher Jillian Holoboski allowed just two hits and fanned nine batters resulting in another complete game shutout as sixth-seeded South Plainfield (18-4) defeated third-seeded Monroe (12-5) 1-0 in the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament on Saturday morning in Colonia.

The lone run in the top of the second inning was enough as the Lady Tigers depended on strong pitching and top-notch defense to earn the victory. The eight total hits were spread around eight different players in the green and white lineup. Holoboski picked up her 17th win of her senior season.

South Plainfield will head back to Colonia Middle School on Wednesday night as they will face second-seeded JFK-Iselin in the semifinal round. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
