SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - On Saturday, June 13 th the South Plainfield Junior Baseball Club (SPJBC) handed out their 2020 Scholarship Awards. $4,000 was given out to the former players.
 
Chairman of the Scholarship Committee Jay Culver and Committee Members, Tom Cassio, Joe Lacasle, Keith Both as well as Commissioner Joe Scrudato and the whole SPJBC Board would like to congratulate the following 2020 Scholarships winners
 
  • Jake Jones won a $2,000 Scholarship. Jake’s parents Gregg and Christine continue to support the SPJBC club over many years. Gregg is a Past Board Member and Summer Travel Manager and Christine helped the Women Auxiliary in fundraising events and always doing extra snack stand shifts. Jake also ran a project this winter with cleaning up the baseball complex and also helped out at the SPJBC Fall Camp as an instructor.
  • Brody Donovan won a $1,000 Scholarship. Brody's parents Ricky and Hallie supported the SPJBC club over many years. Ricky was a Past Board Member and Travel Manager and Hallie was the Women’s Auxiliary President from 2011 to 2018. Brody also helped out at the SPJBC Fall Camp as an instructor.
  • Sebastian Rohrer won a $1,000 Scholarship. Sebastian's parents Gary and Nina supported the SPJBC club over many years. Gary was a Past Board Member and “B” Team Travel Manager and Nina helping run the Calendar Raffle for the Women Auxiliary and other fundraising  events.  Sebastian also has been an umpire at the club for 4 years.
