September 21, Cranford: The offense came alive for the 12U South Plainfield Tigers (Green) as they Blank MSO 22-0 in a mercy-rule shortened 2 1/2 inning game. The Tigers wasted no time in getting the offense started when they sent four runners across the plate in the first inning.

The Tigers notched another 18 runs in the second inning. The offense was led by Isabella Spadavecchia, Adriana Magnani, Makenzie Harris, and Gianna Currao, all of whom tallied 2 hits in the inning. Gianna led with 4 RBI’s.

The Tigers posted an impressive offensive line with 14 hits, 7 walks, and 3 strikeouts in just two innings. Tatiana Rowlands, Isabella Spadavecchia, Adriana Magnani, Jadyn Nudelman, and Gianna Currao all posted multiple RBI’s to help the Tigers grab the win.

Adriana Magnani was brilliant in the circle earning the victory for the Tigers. She pitched a complete game (3 innings) shutout allowing no runs, no hits, and two walks while striking out 7.

The Tigers improve to 3-2 on the 2019 fall season. They’ll take on the North Edison Blue Devils on Thursday in North Edison.
