SPARTA, NJ- Alpine Elementary School participated in the “Souper Bowl” of Caring this year in the form of a canned soup drive. Apline students and staff joined many other schools in the national iniative known as the “Souper Bowl” of Caring.
The students brought in 366 cans of soup to show support for their favorite football team. All of the food collected will be given to Sparta Township families in need. To celebrate their efforts at the of end the food drive the students wore their favorite sports team jersey.
The event was organized by Alpine first grade teacher Chris Geary and guidance counselor Heather Yanoff.
